ABOUT
Pastor Andrew Miley
Pastor, Fitness Trainer, Founder
In 1997, I was 32 years old and married with 3 children. I can recall looking at my parents and in-laws and watching them enjoy their grandchildren. Looking forward, I knew I wanted to chase and play with my grandchildren well into their teenage years and further. Thus my fitness journey began! I was already in fairly decent shape and physically active, but I wanted to improve my physical health and fitness to usher me well into my 90’s and chase my grandchildren.
I have been a believer in Christ since the early 90’s. I attended bible studies, participated in just about every ministry (youth/prison, the board of trustees) and I ran an audio/visual ministry. To my surprise, in 2001, we left our church home of 10+ years in pursuit of what God had next for us. We had no idea that would entail starting and pastoring a church. In 2001, we founded and pastored a church in Northern California as well as planting 4 other churches. Pastoring was the greatest time of my life! I just knew there was nothing greater on this planet that I could do. However, one of my sayings was about to take us by suprise: “Live Long Enough, Life Happens”, and it did! One of the most difficult things we struggle with in life that is even more rewarding is Transition.

Through Life's transition, God was watering and feeding the vision of Temple Fit. I heard the name many times in my spirit yet didn't get it. Working out at various gyms, random individuals would walk up to me and acknowledge how they saw the light of the Lord shine out of me. Most times, I’d thank them, give them a bit of encouragement before going back to the weights! Coincidentally enough, more random individuals would approach me and inquire if I was a Personal Trainer. I would respond that I was not. Most, if not all encouraged me to become one. I still didn‘t get it. It wasn’t until my roommate nonchalantly asked me why I was not a Personal Trainer, to which I had no reply. Later that night as I was preparing for bed and I had a conversation with the Lord. I spoke for a short time and then Listened. I finally got it! It was then I decided to become a Personal Trainer.
